Farage thinks he's PM already, at which point he'll treat the free press – the fourth pillar of democracy – with the same contempt that Orange Adolf does.

Nothing will deter them. They project whatever they want on to him. Apart from the racism which they share, most of it is the opposite of what is true. But these were the people who voted tory to save the NHS.

I saw a headline
which ominously noted
β€œPrehistoric killer superbug
discovered
in 5,000-year-old ice
is resistant
to 10 modern antibiotics,
study warns,”
but do not worry
for it is in ice,
so you only need worry
if that ancient ice
starts to melt.

According to research
on how long diseases
β€œlinger in the airβ€”
after an infected person
has left the room,”
measles can linger for two hours,
and the flu for one,
Covid can linger for three hours,
and norovirus for two,
so if you are lingering
in a room for hours:
wear a mask.

Nigel Farage lashes out at a FT journalist and refuses to answer the question.

Is this how Reform UK would ignore media questions if they got into government?

β€˜The trend is irreversible’: has Romania shattered the link between economic growth and high emissions? Emissions have plunged 75% since communist times in the birthplace of big oil – but for some the transition has been brutal

Romania has decoupled economic growth from pollution faster than anywhere else in EU. Its net greenhouse gas emissions intensity fell 88% between 1990 & 2023, so each euro’s worth of economic activity heats planet 10 times less. Emissions have plunged by 75%. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.

It seems that the university students can sue the universities in the uk for not providing in-person teaching during the time 1000s of people were dying every week from Covid. Yet they can't sue if they were given Covid at the university because no measures were taken to protect them after this.

I've personally accepted this for some while. And along with that, a rapid disintegration currently underway. It seems obvious and inescapable with what isn't being done. I'm constantly amazed that people are ignorant, indifferent or harbour beliefs that things will be normal.

I certainly would not have gone out at 15:45 yesterday afternoon in the driving icy rain. But I donned full wet weather gear and just as we left the house the clouds broke and all the birds began to sing.

YouTube video by Senator Paula Simons It's time to make an X-it: Senator Simons questions the Canadian government's continued use of X

I had the opportunity to rise during Senate Question Period this week, to ask about the Canadian government's continued commitment to using X for official communications - and about their failure to use sites such as Bluesky and Mastodon. What do you think? #cdnpoli #Canada #Grok #X #Bluesky
