The efficiency of EURO 6d car particulate filters is compromised by atmospheric aging: In vitro toxicity of gasoline car exhaust
Atmospheric processing substantially toxifies tailpipe emissions from a EURO 6d gasoline car with a particulate filter.
Vehicle emission standards must also account for atmospheric transformation to protect human health. Our new study shows that photochemical aging of EURO6d gasoline car emissions leads to an increase toxicity on human lung cells compared to fresh tailpipe emissions.

More than happy to have been awarded an #ERCCoG grant for my KINTSUGI project ✨! We will be studying mechanisms of lung resilience to atmospheric pollution.
I cannot thank enough all the people who have helped to build the project, the @univbordeaux.bsky.social, the IUF and @inserm.bsky.social🙏.
