Intergalactic Bastionland is interesting because it has the first tier of prep for the systems and general world overview. But it seems like most of the game is the 2nd and 3rd tier of truth. Random tables and just making it up.

An interesting blog post that ties into what you're saying is Blorb Principles (idiomdrottning.org/blorb-princi...). Most OSR books and modules I would argue lean towards the first tier of truth where there is canonically prepped rooms in a dungeon. 1/2
