The CDC’s latest Australian Respiratory Surveillance Report published earlier this month presents a national overview of acute respiratory infections in Australia, drawing information from several different surveillance systems, including respiratory infections among older people. However, it does not have figures for cases in residential aged care facilities. Any questions you may have about the decision not to publish data about COVID-19 cases in residential facilities should be directed to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
