Had a cup of coffee years back in the NBA as a scout for ten whole months. Now I mainly watch Ms Rachel and change diapers.

People sometimes ask me if I feel like having a kid has changed me. Did my best to answer here.

Really fun read from Parker on what ended up being a super loaded class. Enjoy the Herb Jones love, who is easily one of my favorite players in the league right now. Fun class to watch and will only get more and more intriguing the 5+ years from now.

Really interested in keeping tabs on Tamar Bates, now with the Denver Nuggets on a two-way, who was a UDFA. I was unsure if he'd hear his name on draft night, but presents some nice isolation/tough shot creation ability. Will be curious how his game develops in the G-League.

NBA Draft day! Thankful to have had another year in the scouting world. In general, a real solid class but the names that I’m most curious to see at the next level outside of the obvious:

Carter Bryant
Noa Easengue
Rocco Zikarsky
Alex Toohey
Yanic Konan Niederhauser

Saniya Rivers of the Connecticut Sun has been nothing short of amazing early in her rookie season. High defensive IQ player that can make great off-ball plays such as this. Great screen navigation and recovery to earn the block using her length on what should’ve been an open 3 for Courtney Williams

Bogoljub Markovic is a curious draft & stash prospect. 6'9", fluid movement on offense w/ 3pt range. Operated well out of the slip screen in this game vs Borac. Knocks on him is that he lacks physicality, is a pretty big defensive liability (2.7 TOV) and was second in the ABA League in fouls (3.4)

Very active off ball player, Brea shows good screen usage here along with his change of speed to get a step on Jakucionis for the runner attempt

Been catching up on some Koby Brea film and really like him as an older prospect. His shooting (.636 TS% in 24/25, .722 TS% in 23/24) and spacing is a clear translatable skill and can make some tricky reads to get others involved. I feel confident a guy like Brea will land somewhere in the NBA.

Coward's rim protection is what stands out the most in the games that I've watched, both a mix of his Eastern Washington & Washington State games. Again, incredible timing and discipline in a scenario where the defender is innately at a disadvantage but is made to look rather par for the course

Another nice example of Coward utilizing his length on the switch in what should have been an easy Utah basket, but in turn ends up being a jump ball

6'6" with a 7' wingspan paired with timing and body control makes him a fun on-ball and off-ball defender. #NBADraft

Entered the weekend only knowing Cedric Coward by name, and now I start my week getting why Alabama and Duke are hopeful to land the Washington State transfer. Off-ball menace on the defensive end who does a little bit of everything that does--and doesn't--show in the box score.

Dame Sarr recently played in the Nike Hoop Summit despite Barcelona not honoring his involvement. He is 2025 NBA Draft eligible but also reportedly receiving interest from BYU, Kentucky, Illinois, Arizona, and Louisville. A lot of work to be done on his game, but the upside is pretty obvious.

For sure, I made sure to get it on clearance off of DACA. Pulled a red parallel RC of Cade and a Mark Aguirre Catalyst Signature Gold #/3 which was pretty cool. Definitely the lowest numbered card I’ll pull for quite some time.

I thought I had more clipped from Essengue of late but that doesn't seem to be the case. I can't remember which game it was, but I recently watched one of his outings from a few weeks back and it was one of the best games I've seen from a '25. His growth over the season has been great.
