After contributing a few new bits to this last night, I couldn't help but want to kick things up a notch. Introducing magic-math, where you can import basic math expressions, with support for variables. The code isn't great, and is probably broken but it's been fun.

Remember that libraries are proof that not every goddamned thing needs to be “for profit.”

That said, it's absolutely something I've been meaning to look back into in my homelab, if only just to gain experience in building up those tools we were missing.

That was my experience as well in a previous role. Nomad was super straight forward to get up and running with pretty low maintenance overhead (generally speaking). But the lack of ecosystem bit us hard as we didn't have the time or people power to build up all of what was expected of the platform.

The halls reek of electrical smoke but everyone is safe. Feel really bad for my neighbors who are directly the burned unit who are trying to sell.
But needless to say, I think it's time I seek therapy or other mental health services to help with this severe anxiety I have surrounding building fires.

In the unit under ours and to the right. Firefighters were already on scene and it was contained, so I found myself going back to the bedroom to wake my spouse "I think we should wake up and grab the cat and go outside for a bit". The firefighters were awesome and did their jobs diligently.

Last night my spouse and I attended a friends Halloween get together with a fire pit. Was really nice and on our way home we joked the smell of smoke on us would trigger my paranoia as we went to sleep. Well an hour into sleep I wake up to faint beeping and sure enough, it was another fire.

Last night my complex had our second fire over the past 2 years. The last one totaled one of our cars. Since that first fire, I have been experiencing what I can only describe as a form of PTSD, where I wake up in the middle of the night most nights freaking out over the slightest smells.
