Hi - looks like a fun event. Can I make a serious point though. Entering a trial pit deeper than 1.2m with no shoring is very dangerous and people have been killed doing so (with corporate manslaughter charges following). This picture appears to show someone doing just that.

Its nowhere near as bad as they say Tony - there aren't many main routes with a 20 on it. Here in Abergavenny its much easier to get about or cross the road. I was sceptical but fully support it. Ironically I got a speeding fine for doing 23 in 20. In London. In Wales it needs to be over 26mph!

Very interesting to see groundwater levels in the East Anglian Chalk holding up relatively well so far. Groundwater is a key factor in drought resilience. Building new reservoirs is not necessarily the magic bullet which solves our water shortage issues.
