Senator Cash now talking about a woman “killing her unborn child” when this actual violence against an abortion clinic took place just days ago in his own state.

Senator Billy Garrett acknowledges that he’s heard from enough constituents that he has to oppose Cash’s amendment. This is big- those phone calls to your reps? They matter. They make noise. Keep em up.

To be clear, South Carolina already has a six week abortion ban in place. This already makes it near impossible to receive abortion care in the state. SB 323 makes it even harder- and more dangerous.

Senator Cash describing a scenario where a woman requests an abortion and her parents (“the grandparents of the child who has been killed”) bring a civil suit. This completely invalidates the autonomy of the pregnant person to make her own choices. #SB323
