Win for the day: Managed to bring back a Yokogawa CV1000 back to life, after it lost the computer. The most memorable part of this work for me was tracking down the Graphin frame grabber device driver; I contacted its Japanese manufacturer in Japanese.

Installed a new #joystick on our @zeiss-microscopy.bsky.social #LSM800 at the #CCB Imaging Facility.

Helped out a facility user to improve his immunofluorescence experiments. He was very happy with the results. A happy facility user makes me happy.

Achievement of the day: Managed to take a brightfield colour picture on the Leica SP8X confocal microscope using the PMT-Trans.

Attended the training for the newly installed #Zeiss LSM900 at the #BHI. It’s always exciting to learn a new instrument.

Attended the talk by @digmanlab.bsky.social at the #APMC13 meeting. I knew of the #Phasor plots for #FLIM but didn’t know you could resolve emission spectra. Need to know how that can be achieved…

We have an LSM800 exactly in the same configuration. I’ll make sure to put a drop sheet over it if we ever clean our AC vent.
