Which begs the question of whether it’s possible to get a bone transplant, or other transplant, without transferring this virus.

This is why I can no longer send $25 guillotine earrings to the US from Canada. It’s a minimum $80 charge plus shipping, handling and taxes.

I have always loved it. That's really all there is to it. I've said more about that, and definitely will again, but that's really it.

Geography Lesson

Our teacher told us one day he would leave
And sail across a warm blue sea
To places he had only known from maps,
And all his life had longed to be.
The house he lived in was narrow and grey
But in his mind's eye he could see
Sweet-scented jasmine clinging to the walls,
And green leaves burning on an orange tree.
He spoke of the lands he longed to visit,
Where it was never drab or cold.
I couldn't understand why he never left,
And shook off the school's stranglehold.
Then halfway through his final term
He took ill and never returned,
And he never got to that place on the map
Where the green leaves of the orange trees burned.
The maps were redrawn on the classroom wall;
His name was forgotten, it faded away.
But a lesson he never knew he taught
Is with me to this day.
I travel to where the green leaves burn
To where the ocean's glass-clear and blue,
To all those places my teacher taught me to love
But which he never knew.

Brian this week too, that is very sad. Spent a lot of time enjoying his poetry over the years. A favourite was always Geography lesson which has pulled me out of putting things off for the future many times.

Why investment in clean indoor air is vital preparation for the pandemics and climate emergencies to come.

"Each day, we breathe more than 7,000 litres of air. Unsurprisingly, the quality of this air really matters."

New Order, Blue Monday 95 (Hardfloor Mix)

This is the best remix of a song I've ever heard. Even now it brings back feelings of being on a dancefloor at the time and everything just building and building until the ecstatic finale.

How does it feel? Like a 30th anniversary re-release actually. 😋

That's why they reject clean air.

1/13 Forced Sterilization Is Not History in Canada

In 1928 Alberta passed the Sexual Sterilization Act, giving a government board power to sterilize people it deemed unfit to reproduce. Indigenous women and girls were heavily targeted.
