Innit? The idea that we have to applaud a person for a reduction in needless violence is ridiculous. If the victims were human, there’d be no expectation to tiptoe around the abusers. I try to remind myself, as we all need to do from time to time, that societal conditioning combined with the efforts of animal ag to hide the truth makes it frighteningly easy to go along with “normal”. What’s important is that when we learned the truth we acted rather than ignoring it.

I’m glad that we now live in a time where the curtains are being pulled back by undercover investigators, documentaries, etc., shining a bright light in dark corners. We’ll ensure that our collective voices for the animals are heard. We’ve come a long way but still have far to go.
