Really cool. I saw Helios at Charterhouse NT, Coventry your setting is more dramatic.

Love the light in the tunnel. They remind me of some of the tunnels under the mainline tracks around Rugby.

Taken with my iPhone this small pond may be found at Baddesley Clinton which is owned by the National Trust. The house may be seen in the lower left corner. The trees point upwards and add to the symmetry. I turned the picture around by 180 degrees to get the effect I wanted.

I loved visiting this room when I was a student at Manchester. The symmetry and light interplay makes the photograph.

Thank you and I was pleased that there was a lot of mist around. I had to be extra careful not to trample on the emerging flowers.

St Michael’s Church is adjacent to Baddesley Clinton (NT). The church provides an excellent backdrop to the spring flowers. The first snowdrops have appeared, and a low-lying mist covered the surrounding countryside. Taking the photograph was a challenge, as the camera was positioned on a low tripod beneath a fence. I managed to find a small patch free of snowdrops where I could place the camera. Crouched uncomfortably under the fence, I then had to carefully align the shot.

Yes they do! I was wondering what they reminded me of.

The food in our bird feeder has been going down rapidly in this cold weather. We have a pair of nuthatches visiting and they do seem hungry. A lovely picture of this striking bird and it must have been desperate for food.

I took part in a photowalk around Birmingham late on Sunday afternoon. The sun was low in the sky creating lovely shadows. The light provided some fun opportunities for photographing the photographers.

Star of the show and definitely a fox of the week feature :)

Getting out and about over Christmas has been a challenge. When I did venture out, I found that many other people had the same idea. Luckily, we have Hay Wood nearby, where it’s easy to escape from the crowds. There is a wide avenue deep in the wood that is one of my go-to spots for photography. The occasional appearance of walkers provided an added bonus to the composition. The black-and-white processing highlights the winter woodland. Although the day was cold, it was a perfect day for a post-Christmas walk.
