Here's a nice letter from the archive. My first communication from Steve Cole, who was to become a friend - but not before commissioning my first Doctor Who short story and then novel, back in 1997.

I'll be at Whitby Literature Festival on Saturday 8th November to talk about 'The Brenda and Effie Mysteries.'

I just found a pleasing response to a story of mine back in 1999 from WG Sebald. "I also found 'What Now, My Love' very captivating, in the main, I think, because of the curiously semi-detached presence of the narrator and the meditative tone of his voice."

I'll be having an art stall again, as part of Art Beats at the Klondyke on Saturday / Sunday.
I'll also be taking part in the march down the Stockport Road on Saturday 9th August at 2pm (turning the A6 into the Gay6!), starting at Inspire. And there's cabaret on Saturday night at the Klondyke club!

This is for everyone in and around Manchester for the weekend of 8-10th August! It's Levenshulme Pride, back for the seventh year! Taking place in multiple venues across Levenshulme - open to everyone and everything free to enter. It's the biggest, best, most diverse local Pride in the region.
