I imagine it would be harder, but not impossible, to cook the books on job/income outcome metrics.

The other unfortunate side effect of metrics is that people game them. I was told 30 years ago as a comp instructor that if I were a good teacher, my students would mostly get As. Later, working in tech, I saw people filing lots of bugs (metric) in order to fix them (also a metric).

We have a heat pump and a gas stove. I didn't know that was an issue.
