I love weapon randomizer when I’m bored

One unfortunate truth im still having to come to terms with is that im always gonna be trolled and harassed for playing hyperdive. However it only comes from fellow comp players. Most spectators i meet at lans are incredibly supportive and express enjoyment in watching me and it means the world 1/3

I feel like JP is on to something with playing turf war all the time. Many of the things JP is good at are skills taught in that mode:

- Keeping enemy locked out as long as possible

- Fast painting/taking space

- Constant fighting/dragging fights out

I got a bit sidetracked, let me reiterate what is the main point of my rant:

The way the community functions inevitably gives louder voices to a minority who is very good at the game, and I believe that we are underestimating the impact that this has on the health of the game itself.

I think SWS is doing a good job of “region vs region” but I think that’d be really hard to achieve at the smaller scale. but none of this is to say that there’s no way the Splatoon community should shy away from a global PR like Melee/Ult

it’s so hard to determine regions for Splatoon comp specifically just bc of the nature of the game (online multiplayer), I would love to see more community between different regions per lan and have concrete teams from regions for turf wars (like Melee NorCal vs SolCal)

it also creates a drive to be the best for the season/year. yeah we can watch YouTube videos and speculate about who is the best team and hold big tournaments for top level but it means so much more to see it spelled out in something like this

I’ve been thinking for so long that a global Splatoon power ranking would be so sick for teams. get a group of people on an executive committee where they determine the top 30 teams in the world with graphics
