My Nocturne from last evening “Out for Dinner” 11x14 #oilpainting of the Copper Kettle in Dubuque. I met several people while painting, including the two people sitting in the window, and the owner. The owner happens to own another painting I did taken from the other direction!

“Temperance River Outflow” 11x14 #oil painting. This is where the Temperance River meets Lake Superior on the north shore of Minnesota.

Going to California! I received word last week that my work has earned my signature status in the National Watercolor Society. These are the paintings submitted for jurying. I’m beyond excited and greatful!

Putin’s Bitch.

In May, we travelled to Moab, UT to attend the wedding of our niece. We spent a day in Arches National Park, which was wonderful. This painting was done as a gift for the bride and groom. Double Arch 11x15 #watercolor.

What’s your point?

A couple of sketches this morning from our trip to Arches National Park yesterday. So much beauty in this part of the country!

Here’s the demo painting I completed during my reception last evening at the Waterloo Center for the Arts. It will go on the wall. The exhibition is up until at least mid-July.

Very true. To be an artist requires an empathetic view of your surroundings, which is antithetical to conservatives.

And the Post is bragging about “their” Pulitzer Prize. Disgusting.

A couple watercolor sketches in a Moleskin sketchbook while we’re at Smoke Tree Ranch in Palm Springs.

Just delivered 50 paintings to the Waterloo Center for the Arts. Show opening next Tuesday! Opening Reception is on May 9, where I’ll be doing a short watercolor demo. Hope you can make it!

More good news! “Old School - Clutier” is going to California. Very pleased to learn It has been accepted into the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association 9th Annual Waterworks Exhibition. Stay tuned for details and auction information.

A bit late to the game. My painting “Amana Bicycle in Winter was accepted into the National Watercolor Society Members Show. I entered two paintings, and I thought the other was a much better painting. You just never know what the judge sees. Happy to have this in the show!
