See, surprise and shock tactics work and freak folks out…at first. Then you find yourself confronted by many angry people looking for payback. Im reminded of the folks on the plane who swarmed the shoe-bomber.

If you’re pro-ICE and you still expect anti-ICE folks to treat you with kindness and respect at this point, you have a very poor grasp of reality.

You shouldn't criticize people's appearance, even if they're the worst goddamned people on the planet. It's low-hanging rotten fruit, and you're playing into the prejudices THEY usually truck in. At the same time, I'm leaving it at that. I'm not interested in providing excuses for their behavior.

Again, generally speaking and remembering my earlier history as an ostensible conservative, the idea of order, containing chaos, and maintaining focus on pragmatic solutions as a means to repair society is tempting. But it falls apart when you realize we don't all need to be the same kind of person.

I'm not familiar with Dreher, but generally speaking, modern conservatives believe only "worthy" folks at the top deserve comfort, pleasure, and security... Then a good chunk of those "worthy" folks deny themselves the pleasure part...until they finally crack and seek it out in bad places.

BREAKING: 47 Senators just blocked a measure that would have provided billions more dollars of no-strings-attached funding for ICE and Border Patrol to continue their violence and abuse.

While we applaud these Senators for taking action, the fight continues.
