There was essentially zero coverage of the disabled protest to stop Medicaid cuts. Capitol police dragged protesters out, many in wheelchairs, and arrested 34 people. It was barely a blip on the news because nobody really cares about the disabled.

Just saying that this is one of the most iconic protest images of the 21st century. Not the example I'd use to argue that sitting at a protest is ineffective.

In the current media environment it's so easy for bad actors to edit footage or mischaracterize what happens at a protest.

Passive protesters sitting down with their hands behind their back getting pepper sprayed in the face? Not so much.
