π¨ Big news: The U.S. District Court has ruled in our favor, thwarting the FDAβs attempt to impose excessive regulations on laboratory-developed testing procedures (LDTs). This is a win for labs, patients and innovation! Read our press release: www.eurekalert.org/news-release...

The screen isn't bad, but it's not great either. A little slow to navigate sometimes. Bought mine in 22 and didn't bother looking at Tesla for similar reasons. Test drove ID4/EV6/Ioniq 5 and liked the Mach-E the best. I'm jealous of the deals they're running now haha
12.02.2025 15:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Only complaints:
1) Paint is soft and prone to chips from rocks/road debris
2) Center screen can sometimes be frustrating/slow. You can reboot it and that usually fixes issues
3) Wireless phone charging pad is useless (aftermarket version online is good)
Lone maintenance has been a tire rotation

Love my Mach-E! Unfortunately bought mine when they were crazy expensive, but it has been a great car.

π¨New Pub Alert! Our 1000-Karius retrospective is out! #ClinMicro #IDSky @uclapathology.bsky.social

Yep. And if they do get a sample and the cultures come back negative (because they've been on therapy), they lose faith in our micro lab because karius found it and we didn't. But if they had just done culture to begin with, we would have an isolate and susceptibility results. Vicious cycle!
31.01.2025 21:52 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
I have seen that happening here in SC. Clinical teams refusing biopsies/bronchs/etc. until Karius is sent. Only ID can order Karius, so they end up ordering it because the clinical teams won't do anything else until they do. Has definitely slowed diagnoses/treatment by delaying these procedures.

I created a "Clinical Microbiology" starter pack #clinmicro. This list is inclusive of public health professionals, but there may be other public health specific starter packs that would be useful, too.
@drdr-pp.bsky.social @biologistnina.bsky.social may have some suggestions!

Almost a month after joining the site, we have over 90 clinical microbiologists in the "Clinical Microbiology" starter pack! While not quite the atmospheric rise of the #IDSky group, we'll keep recruiting!
Please share and let your #clinmicro colleagues know how to find us when they arrive!
