Ebright showed his model was wrong in 1984. He'll be remembered as a legend who developed several new antibiotics and led efforts to expose the single deadliest accident in history, while you continue to promote the single most dangerous campaign of fraud in history.

In case this is not obvious:

Expecting to understand and predict human biology based solely on modelling nucleic acids is naive.

It’s unrealistic.

4% payline demoralizing for reviewers - review 9 grants each taking 3-4hrs (total reviewed by all is 90) flying to DC, a hotel conference room to discuss the top half of grants (45) 15 min each, 3x a year for 4 yrs. Paid $300. 4% = maybe 3/90, 0-1 that you reviewed funded. I couldn’t.

This is worth a close read...and there is precedence for the Govt's argument, sadly. Many years ago I was told by a PO that the "Director of this institute" had decided to deprioritize research on serotonin. Hence, I would have to give up my 5-HT grant if I wished to be part of a U19 on dopamine!

I fully agree with this take. People get hung up on what the head-twitch response is or is not as a behavior.

It’s more useful to think of head-twitch response as a drug development tool.
