It's immoral but not illegal.

There were so many factors, including but not limited to racism, sexism, dis/misinformation, voter suppression, and so many other things. Communication challenges were certainly part of the picture.

I respectfully disagree that VP Harris lost because of financial mismanagement or lack of money. She had tons of money, and many other factors contributed to her loss, not this.

Disturbing and enlightening. The moral of this story is that you should donate directly to candidates and state parties, not PACs.

I thought he had an alternative strategy to a referendum? His theory is that the state legislature could do mid-decade redistricting. Very risky since it certainly would be challenged in court.

Not necessarily. Newsom is saying the state constitution only addresses the redistricting done after each census, not mid-decade redistricting (which would be done by the State legislature). This would certainly be challenged in the courts.

The GOP will sue Dem states if they redistrict, and SCOTUS will suddenly object to Dem redistricting. It's ok only when Republicans do it.

I appreciate the sentiment to fight back, but exactly where will these 30 seats come from? That's a lot of seats that would need to be flipped. CA can provide more gerrymandered Dem seats, but a change to their state constitution is needed first. Where else?

Where exactly can this be done legally? CA can't do it unless it's state constitution is amended, and that's where the most flippable seats are.

I want to see more of this all over the country, and not just for rural voters. It could include veterans, seniors, teachers & public school supporters, young people, etc. Note this is a listening, not a fundraising tour organized over a year before the next major election.

Both of Nevada's senators, Rosen and Cortez-Masto, plus Joe Manchin voted no. We have them to thank for Bove now being on the bench.
