We all gotta get our joy, fun, and adventures in! And working in the industry, I enjoy getting to hear about the fun and adventures people go on!

Honestly! No shame; we all have backlogs.
I haven't finished this title myself, though I did find myself hovering 'new game' the other day for it! But with so many lovely adventures coming out...time is so hard to find!

But. But. What's the game. You didn't say what the adventure was!

But I am biased. I worked on Radiant dawn as my first ever title. And I worked on Awakening years later.

Awakening is absolutely a stellar entry point to the franchise and a preview of FE 'style' for years to follow after it.

I will say. While Awakening is good.

If you ever manage to get your hands on Path of Radiance (Gamecube) and then Radiant Dawn (Wii). The successive storyline and detail in these stories were my personal favorites.

Lots of tension, world drama, politics. My favorite FE story to date.

I agree with you! I am worried about the continued questionable practices the industry has. An influx of price likely wouldn't help, or increase the 'style' of games we get.

But I do think, as an industry, it will need to increase soon-ish.

Unfortunately, our industry is 'safety' to market, for shareholder value.

Ubisoft is a wonderful recent example of that downfall in rinse/repeat style until fading into obscurity.

Looking at our past in the industry, I hope we capture our creative spark like the Indie sector is.

I say this as someone who has worked in AAA Publishing, and on well over 100 titles over the last 18 years.

There's good intentions, and I agree. Dollar per hour (flawed argument) is really solid on these; and it's shocking it hasn't skyrocketed.

But we gotta get back to the root of fun. Not #.

But we'd need to start outlining acceptable practice:

* Games need to come out finished.
* No aggressive Micro-transactions
* AAA Quality needs to mean. Quality.
* Fleshed out and impactful games.

When they can start meeting those bars *again* like they used to. Sure.

For now? It'd be double dip
