Who’d have thought that a year ago I was starting my long, painful & frustrating job hunt.
50 applications & 17 interviews later I’d be where I am now with Baptist Union of Great Britain, feeling like I’ve been a part of this family for ages & it’s the warm work home I was missing 🫶🫶
Yesterday's solo walk and deep gratitude for living in this very lovely part of the world.

Yes it would have been great to get a little bit higher to explore further studies but maybe it’s a sign that I’ve done what I needed to & this is the end of the road. I definitely need to take a break for a moment to just earn some money. But let’s never say never…. 🤔

Dealing with a slowing shrinking business, moving house, a ridiculously frustratingly disappointing job hunt & some fairly poor mental health & probably depression, all things considered & that this was my first theology course/degree I AM QUITE PROUD OF MYSELF!!!

Had an absolutely brilliant time this weekend working at Baptist Assembly with the Baptist Union & BMS World Mission comms teams & gathering content over the two days.
So lovely to see so many familiar faces from both onsite & online jobs & projects as well as making new friends.
Being an adult & sorting out gathering my pension pots from jobs over the years.
Also contemplating doing my self assessment now rather than waiting until 28th January.
ADULTING!! 💪💪

First ‘proper’ dive of 2025. By proper I mean head underwater & actively looking at things. We may have only been in for 20 minutes but it was good to be in again 🌊🧜♀️
However, wonderfully I was invited to an interview the following week & was absolutely incredibly offered a job!! Will share more once contracts signed & such but it’s all in very very good direction!
PRAISE THE LORD!! 🙌🙌🙌
Three weeks ago I submitted my dissertation & the MADT was over. Now I am praying that I pass & can graduate 🙏🙏
BUT also on that Monday, I sent in an application for a job. Application number 48 of the very stressful 8 months of trying to find something.
Still so pleased that the sunrise service on Sunday was good enough weather to get the drone up.

On Monday, the dissertation was submitted & nothing more I can do anymore.
There's already so many bits I would change, lean into other, add different bits, use more research but can't do anything now.
I'll add it to the book 😜
Now lets pray I pass and can graduate 🙏
Last night I had a dream I submitted an art style portfolio/artbook for my assignment and I got 30%.
I am panicking!
But also passed this today so that’s slightly comforting.
I have an interview today, any last minute tips or advice to help me?

The 5:15am alarm was well worth it!!
Watched sunrise with a friend this morning, technically counted as work as I needed this footage for a project, but it was such a blessing to experience such a beautiful start to a new day 🌅🌅
For the 20+ years I've lived in Purbeck, I've never actually walked this hill and seen Corfe from this view.

Had my 39th & 40th no today in my job hunt quest. After a really nice interview yesterday, I am disappointed & tired.
Should have just done the Aldi store assistant application in September when my parents first shared it.
Feeling a sense of needing to let go of stuff - expectations, wants, disappointments, regret.
As much as it would be great for it to be an instant resolution, I know it wont, but slowly forgiving myself & letting go.
It'll be ok.
Yesterday's sunrise beach walk was quite beautiful.

Spent the rest of the afternoon writing & am over 5000 words which means I am getting in a flow & starting to enjoy my research, reflections & musings.
Nowhere near the finish line, bits it’s a little less bleak now.
Did I feel better? Absolutely. They should put a name for it.

May have cried a bit over the last few days about various rejections & frustrations. I didn’t feel great or the most positive about things. But Josh challenged/encouraged me to go for a run this week. Went today & did over 2.5 miles of jogging/walking enjoying a podcast whilst I plodded about.
