Every Reason Why I Hate AI and You Should Too maybe it's anti-innovation, maybe it's just avoiding hype. But one thing is clear, I'm completely done with hearing about AI.

Un buen, largo repaso a las IA (lectura larga).

hot take: the existence of multiple "distros" of linux and the ability to choose which one you like best is an ecosystem-destroying anti-pattern on the scale of (for the old heads who know) the ability to choose your own optimal favorite flavor of object model in LISP

Google Workspace now defaults to expensive plans ($20/month) instead of cheaper plans ($7/month) with promise of better AI or something. Downgrading is _really really_ hard, I had to dig super far into the UI. I was able to do it, but I suspect vast majority of people will just fail.

A Plasticene Lexicon As plastic pollution in the environment has increased rapidly in the last half century, so too has the study of the effects of plastic on marine, aqua…

The massive amount of plastics being dumped on us and the environment by the petrochemical industry (the same folks cooking our #climate with fossil fuels) is so planet-altering there is now a case for it getting it's own geological periodization:

Yes, if you make RTD versions track branches and not tags...

Note that you can now rename versions, so all you need would he a 1.x branch, and call it v1 on RTD

Spending some time learning Rust again, this time with LeetCode. I won't lie: this is only fun for very wicked definitions of "fun". Pleasing the borrow checker is hard!

The temptation of solving with AI is big. But the "aha" moment requires struggle, me thinks!

Also, Rust docs are so good 💯
