They do. Several starters in the match were academy products: Vargas, Ragen, Rothrock, and Baker-Whiting. Leyva and Kossa-Rienzi are also from our academy and they came in off the bench. De Rosario and Minoungou both came up through our second team, though not our academy.

Super proud of how well Sounders competed against a top 10 club in the world. Obed’s transfer fee should skyrocket after today. RBW and KKR actually held their own and probably raised their transfer value. I wouldn’t be mad if Nouhou was shipped off and Reed took his place.

Best hope for Sounders is for PSG to smoke Botafogo and then rest everyone on Monday so they have a chance at getting a result.
