Friends and family are the best resource, I find! Some communities out there on Discord and the like have folks who might volunteer as well

I'm lucky to have several talented writers as friends who were kind enough to agree to help out!

My beta readers are getting back to me! Just have to incorporate some feedback and then it will be time to commence querying!

Ah yes, we are once again having the 💿🐎 where people argue all copyright is bad and IP is capitalist evil without fully understanding what copyright actually does.

Yup, this. Right now in the system we have, we need options between "all rights reserved" and "no rights exist." Like, say, non-commercial clauses that make work accessible for people to read while still requiring Facebook to get permission and pay up if they want to profit off people's work.

What's your first favorite sci fi film?

Not a bad idea! You might find the true start of your story is on the fifth page of scribbling or whatever, but it was all worth it so you could find that hook.

It sounds like you might be overthinking it! I start my stories by picking a single moment and going from there. "A guy is on a bus" got me to one of my favorite shorts I've written.

Granted, this is MUCH easier if you're a pantser, but I find that stories tend to reveal themselves as you write.

My manuscript roughdraft_new_final_thisone(3) is just 2-3 chapters short of completion! Trying not to get ahead of myself but already got revision ideas cooking.
