I made a vow to watch all the shows on Crunchyroll scored by the lady from See Saw who did .Hack's music, cuz I friggin love her style. The only one even remotely watchable was Madoka Magica. I had to give up on (or sleep through) all others.

Like, I found solace in some fully-empty CLAMP show that never went anywhere and never had conflict, cuz the characters were all overpowered and the show never challenged them. I fell asleep every time I tried to watch. SO BAD, yet way better than most anime I tried, where it made me sick and angry.

I caught up on the Frieren manga, and now I'm reading Delicious in Dungeon.

Have I read any other manga? I'm a comics guy, but I friggin hate anime. Trying Crunchyroll taught me I was correct. 3 good animes appearing at once was an anomaly, and all other anime is AI algorithm messes of bad cliches.

I love David Byrne and feel bad I lost track of his solo work - sorry, but the collab with St. Vincent is among the best albums ever made, so that’s what got my attention!

My fave David Byrne thing was, for a while, he was evolving to albums that are a single, then one 40-minute mid-tempo song.

The porch cat, a dilute tortie, eating treats in the porch during a day she refused to come inside. She rubbed against poison ivy at some point and I then cuddled her. Dang it!

I got poison ivy from petting a feral cat. AGAIN.

It’s on my forearm, so when it brushes against something I generally don’t notice. Tried to isolate it under bandaids, but I’m friggin’ allergic to the new “Trump eased regulations!” adhesive companies switched to!

God help me.

Having NFL network as background all August as they endlessly play preseason games I don’t really watch means I still end up memorize all the low-rent commercials.

One of the thing that horrifies me most about the Internet is that even Very Online (tm) people haven't figured out that "hate views" are just "views" to literally any money-oriented social media platform

Pearl, a gray and cream tabby shorthair cat, has giant insane kitty eyes, as she’s locked in on her game of attacking a shoelace that I pull under the blue sheet she’s on. If I’m trying to work in the studio for too long, right as I get into rhythm I will hear a loud cry from Pearl, for it is time to play the game with her! I can’t say no!

Pirate, a large fluffy brown tabby cat, pokes his head out from being wrapped up in the blue sheet Pearl was attacking in the prior photo. Pirate is a burrower, so it’s surprising this doesn’t combine with Pearl’s “pounce the thing moving under the blue sheet” game to chaotic ends more.

Big Dipper, an all-gray fluffmonster is rolling onto his back, with front paws raised to attack the shoelace his eye is tracking. Dipper is suspended on a blanket used as the roof of the kitty couch fort, which I tied so tight he was able to make it into his hammock instead of crashing in the roof, which was his former game.

The only new photo of this set is of Little Stuff, the dark gray shorthair cat, looking alert as she sits in a box (with taller sides than normal boxes of the size) that’s on my kitchen table. I had caught Pearl, the lighter gray girl cat, using it earlier, but she ran away because she got my anxiety, and how DARE I observe her. I added dish towels and a toy to it as a way to confirm it’s fine that cats use it. Pearl hasn’t returned, but Little Stuff benefitted!

Ugh…

I hate hate HATE being trapped in a fatigue pattern! I need extra rest/recharging, so cats learned to push for attention when I’m active. In my fragile state, constant interruptions destroy my focus. I can’t get into overdue tasks/sketch practice, ending with me sobbing from an anxiety attack!

Just announced I was mad cuz I had a headache, then punched the fly that flew in when the porch cat dawdled in the doorway out of the air.

Technically, I took a life in anger –but it was cool as hell and this is dark timeline America, so I deserve praise.

Yet I’ll settle for returning to bed.

-I want to catch up on reading/writing projects!
-I want to create Momentum ref sheets for myself!
-I want to write my owed apology notes, so I can include them in long-overdue packages/updates!
-I want to make nature art for my docs/new PT!

All those brain signals snag, never reaching my fingers.

Ugh, the logjam in my brain.

My face got so bad in the months when I lost full PT coverage, new aggressive PT has been fight to reclaim lost ground. Until a full clear happens - we actually got close this week, tho we failed - the muscle churn means a constant focus-shredding migraine!

The only good news is the person was so close I’m pretty sure they saw the cat at the end. And I’m gonna assume they saw the cat at the beginning too, or they were heading on over to be abducted willingly.

(I don’t even know if they were male or female or what. I refused to make eye contact!)

I stand with my door open, facing up the road. “I see you! Come inside, kitten! I have goodies for you!”

My eyes were aimed down at the porch cat. It wasn’t until she passed by and went in that I spun around and saw a person had been walking down the sidewalk from the direction I was facing. 😬

The most warped space is around where I live, so it's more accurate than you think.

I've often posited that one day my resentment and spite will be enough to dethrone god - and, with that power obtained, disintegrating West Virginia and ripping Pennsylvania a new one would definitely be on my list.

I searched for "Anthony Richardson" to find some snarky takes... and instead got an Internet of Shit botnet spamming AI-generated news articles from dummy accounts with AI-generated profile pics. A ton of "50 followers [all bots], 1 following, 9k posts" accounts designed to ruin the search function!

I wondered if the cat would turn away from the window, with me and Little Stuff looming on the other side of the glass, but they chose to wait us out until we got bored!

The invader cat has been getting more bold, and here is the first clear photo of them in the evening light. It’s a classic gray tabby shorthair coat, standard healthy-looking body, and maybe a very slight bit of “feral face” chubby cheeks. I assume it’s a male, but I haven’t seen clear giveaway features yet, so I’ll try to stick to neutral pronouns. Yes, the cat is being bolder because I have been kind to them, but if I didn’t the cat would still be hanging around to steal food, just in ways I can’t control. Now I can feed the cat and send them on their way, so the porch can get her meal later.

I finally got close enough to the invader gray tabby cat for a reaction. I expected them to turn and retreat, but instead they stood their ground and, as can see here, hissed at me! Rude! And I just presented them with a plate of wet food! (Maybe it was because of that, as I was currently between them and the food???)

You can see how close the invader cat lets me get. I earn *some* trust as food provider.

I thought I would pressure them to turn around, so I’d get an attempt to see what flavor of TNR would be needed, but this kitty held their ground!

Millie the little all-black foster kitten takes her turn nestling into the colorful towel draped over my lap. The mostly-overhead and almond shape of her slightly-narrowed eyes give this delicate little girl an imposing presence anyway!

Know how in the post I said I lose my mind when Millie is in the most standard poses, and I take too many similar photos as a result? In this one her front paw is slightly extended, with her claws flexing! And he her other paw is curled up under her chin, showing either contemplation or readiness to spring into action! It’s so special and unique! No black kitten has ever existed like this before! (BB, the larger, more energetic, super-photogentic, and more luxuriously-longhaired of the black-furred kitten girls, who left this morning, reflexive pokes her head up from her new sanctuary, all like, “EXCUSE ME??!!??”)

This is too much. Millie the little all-black kitten is scrunched up, like a cat loaf with head and tail poking out, in the top tier of a cat tower, looking wide-eyed, with an expression that is a combination of overwhelmed and intense focus, is heart-meltingly adorable. She needs a hug! Or worship.

Continuing the thread of the Disaster Trio, after a post about the boys it’s time to bask in the cuteness that is Millie!

Cuz I’m totes smitten enough that she’ll flop down on the shelf, in a standard pose, and I’ll scream, “OMG!!! AMAZING!!!!!” then snap a hundred photos, 97 of which are blurry.

Once his brother Pigpen finally escaped my lap, and the colorful towel on it, black and white kitten Puffin alone got the space. Look at this precious and innocent expression! He can’t really be evil? He can’t be looking to destroy the global economy! He might not even know what that is! Or… is it all a facade to lure us into a false sense of security? So cute that you get suspicious.

The cow boys - as in lads with black and white Holstein-style fur - show off their immense power!

That first photo could topple some governments with its cuteness. And learning from alt angles that Puffin’s tail gave Pigpen a mohawk??? It could crash the global economy. Is his face TRULY innocent?

BB was indeed let out, and went to Xavier’s School For Gifted [Fluffy] Kittens this morning, so we’re down to the three little disasters.

The littles may have tummy troubles, but these kittens are absurdly cute - and wonderfully photogenic! Once they recover, adoption should be super fast.

I'm tired of being a canary and I don't want to live in this coal mine anymore.
