This is not amazing. NC is a purple state, with a Democratic governor, Lt governor, sec of state and AG. We have Republican general assembly because of gerrymandering. And CCLT is a Democratic city, as are most of the cities in NC.

The vote in the Senate on cloture for the "new" "compromise" bill has been sitting at 56 yes, 40 no for almost an hour. This is going to be close.

Hold the line Democrats. If you vote to approve the continuing resolution now all you will have done is shown Republicans that the crueler they are, the more likely they will succeed.
