What people should be asking is how many of these firings of prominent black media are due to administration pressure we don't see. People take at face value that Attiah was fired because Bezos sucks, which is true enough but he wasn't hobbling the reporting at WaPo like this even five years ago.

I mean, part of the outcry is because the FCC directly interfered in public. But I also don't think we'd see the same level of engagement with a target who wasn't white. My parents are very not-online people and still heard about Kimmel, who they don't watch, within 24 hours.
