Honestly, that place scares the shit out of me. Cosmic horror is nothing compared to the mundane horror that it creates, now more than ever. And some people here still salivate when they dream of moving there, becoming rich and free from oppression by the wellfare state.

What a POS. I can guess the color of his baseball cap.

The latter I do know to be a fact, thank Cthulhu!

But what you wrote fits perfectly to my work, too. The horror! The horror!

What’s the issue with Card? I love Ender’s Game, though never really got into the Seventh Son stuff.

”Do it for exposure” just doesn’t scare that much, compared.

There is no sense to buy anything from the smaller US publishers anymore. The postage costs almost double the price of the book. I have to hope some Amazon in EU has the book, even though I hate the idea of buying through them, giving my money to Bezos.

I got an email that a book about an illustrator was available for a pre-order. The delivery from the US was about 26 € which was ok-ish. I placed it in the basket but didn't buy yet. Today, 5 days later, I decided to buy it. The delivery was 75 €... Eh, no thanks.

Thank you, ignorant lunatics. We got rid of many diseases, but for some reason people desire them back. If only them were the ones that would get them.

I've bought the new TW:2K but I don't think I'd like to run or even play it. The setting is kind of too depressing for me to enjoy it.

But I do enjoy this very good actual play. The guys know army stuff and can roleplay. There are good emotionally moving storylines with good action. Recommended.

So GW are pulling their legal bullshit with a creator on some immensely spurious grounds.

They are arguing that even not similar models are unfair competition because they're compatible with their games...

Cyberspace is actually not bad, as a setting, though I don't know if I'd like to use the system. If I had to make as system, I'd use BRP and port Cyberspace into it.

It is understandable. I can easily see how it isn't for every taste. For me the over the top dirtiness works nicely as these days I find dystopias rather too depressing, but if it so gonzo that it's ridiculous, I think it mellows it down. Twilight 2k, that I cannot really play. Just too depressing.

I am sure it's a good game and would be satisfying to play, but I do not feel like learning it so I could run it. Cy_Borg on the other hand...

What I do not like is the layout, which after me being excited of Cy_Borg might sound odd, but it is all over the place. Reading it is not a pleasure, at least for me. It feels lacking a structure, the columns are too wide, too many elements, etc.

CPR looks appropriate, but the art does not pull me in. It's good, but maybe the styles used are not for me. I have never been a fan of 3D rendered art or photobashing, though I have to admit they fit to this setting nicely, and are very well done. In some other game I would like them less.

I was more a Shadowrun guy myself, I haven't played CP ever. Did run a session or two of Cyberspace, though. It might be that I somehow need something more than chrome arms and guns to make the setting interesting to me. Shadowrun did that. Cy_Borg seems to have that extra something, too.

It is not for serious philosophizing about the humanity. It feels absolutely over the edge thing. I would love to run / play it.

Everything I read or watch about it makes it sound like one of those bad 1980s straight to video movies, where the poster art is incredibly outrageous and lowbrow, while still being amazingly exciting.

I have enjoyed listening to MΓΆrk Borg actual plays, so a cyberpunk game run the similar style sound an absolute blast to me.

Cyberpunk Red feels bit meh! when I skim it through. I am sure you can run a serious good cyberpunk games with it, but still, nothing really makes me want to invest into learning it. But Cy_Borg feels like a totally different beast.

Actually his paintings are more true than photos in the sense that in paintings you can get the values right while in photos they are mostly incorrect. He was an amazing painter.

As an illustrator I'd hate to have to draw them, with all the rails, add-ones and stuff. They might be very efficient for killing people, but they look really unstylish. And they all look alike. Well, maybe it is good. Ugly things for ugly acts.

I'm not a gun nut, but after for some work reference research Youtube's the algorithm has recommended me lots of gun stuff. I have not followed the modern gun development at all so all this stuff is new to me. And I have to say the modern weapons are ugly as hell.
