I know lots of you have strong opinions on this topic, so I hope this will be of interest:

In the 2010s I used to tell people how much romance authors were expected to spend to attend the biggest cons and they would stroke out. 😂

Like it's $1k for the ticket and hotel just out the gate, the authors were expected to provide swag and eventually pay EXTRA FEES for the panels they did.

The Entanglement of Rival Wizards is coming out and from what I've seen of it and the author (though little admittedly) it doesn't appear to be that. But I agree with you. It's frustrating. (Also into Nordic lore and uuuuuuuugh you're not wrong.)

I felt sick to my stomach, so I sat up for a bit and talked to Alex then started knitting some more. This project has consumed the last 48 hours I swear. But I have 69/108 rounds completed! With a road trip coming up, I should be able to finish it within a week!

Currently knitting a shawl and it's always amusing to me how I craft with ADHD. Sometimes, it takes me over a year to knit a sweater because I don’t touch it for 10 months. But other times, I knit 66 rounds of a lacework shawl in 2 days. There's no in between. #knitting #ADHD #crafts #neurodivergent
