Did you see the movie Jaws in the summer of 1975 in Bangor? I was in Bangor only once for a few days in August of 1975. My dad took me to see Jaws on the 17th or 18th.

I lost my dad in 2018 and read Fairy Tale by @stephenking.bsky.social over the pandemic. It definitely helped me through my grieving. It's fantasy but also a great story of redemption and the love between a father and son. Can't recommend more highly.

It's tax season so it seems like a good time to scream into the void... I paid over $5300 in federal student loan interest in 2024 and yet not a single dollar of that is deductible from my income. That totally smells like horseshit!

We have a statue of Barbara Jordan on the UT Austin campus. Her voice was strong and her message was clear during Watergate and many other pivotal moments. She left us far too early.
