Made using granular synthesis based on a recording I captured of a gentle stream 🎤

Had a great time at Develop this year! I met lots of friendly faces and played some pretty cool games. Now my hometown feels eerily quiet in comparison...

Revisiting a childhood favourite flash game "Meeblings 2" today.

I found a great audio bug, where the sound of transforming a meebling isn't stopped correctly when you restart a level.

The result is this lovely sound looping continuously 😍

They did the opposite thing too recently, where a small Lego digger was being sold for over £100. My guess was that the staff googled "Lego digger" and found a much more valuable set but thought it was the same one

A local charity shop is selling a big Lego NASA Rover set for about half of what a used one sells for on eBay. I'm half tempted to buy and resell it, which would be a win-win for me and for charity 🤔

I'm surprised that there's still no option to disable YouTube from censoring swear words in auto-generated captions. Seems a bit unfair to give people who are hard of hearing no way to watch content without it being censored 🤷‍♂️

A stats page for my top ten artists I listened to in May 2025. Within it, two bands are listed as "New Road" and "Black Country"

I'm getting the impression that the music app I use doesn't understand how to approach commas in band names.

Apparently I've been extensively listening to the bands "Black Country" and "New Road" but never to "Black Country, New Road" 🤔

It's not 100% confirmed, but very suspicious. On top of those, their sound libraries disappeared from sale on asoundeffect after a high profile sound designer said the libraries seemed to have stolen sounds

I got an advert for a sound library by a company who has gained a large audience by selling libraries which seem to contain plagiarised files. It included the sentence:

"Built from scratch with no recycled sounds"

Strikes me as a bizarre thing to state, and which usually would go without saying 🤔

It can be difficult capture "ambient" bird sounds near where I live due to road traffic - I was glad to capture this nice and reverberant recording of a Song Thrush recently! 🐦🎶
