So you're the one I should be mad at! All these years I've been calling Soros a bum because I never got my protestor payments and it was you all along?

Also, he was born in 1988 and is now 26, so... this ad takes place in 2014?

Gemini also time travels?

Unfortunately I have to refute this. My first album I purchased with my own money was Chocolate Starfish and I have no defense.

Although I guess you may be right. I didn't LOVE them the way I do CAKE or Alabama Shakes or myriad others. But I did like them and overplayed that CD after purchasing.

The emerging Republican position is that women should not be free to vote, to report so-called โ€œsexual assault,โ€ or to say things like โ€œdear isnโ€™t that your fourth, youโ€™re driving.โ€

There is a class of humans there filters morality through the lense of 'legality'. They may be inclined to listen to Candace Owens, until she loses a court case, at which point they stop listening.

Now, I don't know the % of this specific group that listens to Owens. But they are out there.

I'm told this is a mortal sin.

Where do you think that the meat Harry the butcher is cutting comes from?

I think, on the limited character count of blue sky and within the context of the discussion, it was an apt usage of vs.

You are correct that King and Malcolm's teachings were not opposed as is popularly perceived.

For sure, there is that a strand of liberal/moderate that just prefers to put on blinders and not rock the boat.

True peaceful protest is extremely scary and hard. It means defying law enforcement but leaving yourself completely exposed to bodily harm and even death.

Sooo many people miss that.

Yep. That's the eternal debate. Malcolm X vs King. I'm not necessarily taking a side. I see the merits of both and don't think there is enough evidence to form hard conclusions either way.

I was responding to the framing of the original comment, it missed the point of a peaceful protest.

That's the whole point. It isn't about convincing the fascists. They beat up a bunch of peaceful marchers in Selma and we got the voting rights act.

The less generous interpretation is of course these are bad actors working on behalf of monied interests to keep the left fractured.

Quote from a Politico article that says:

โ€œTheyโ€™re saying, โ€˜we need a moderate voice, because weโ€™re losing everyone and we have to come back to the center and get away from woke, identity politics,โ€™โ€ said one Democratic donor adviser who heard Jentlesonโ€™s pitch. โ€œThey want to become a research and communications hub for that, which is great, but we already have a bunch of entities who do that.โ€

Maybe the fact a bunch of entities already do that and it hasn't worked might be a sign?

How many times do we need to keep repeating this same mistaken analysis before these people wake up and realize it's not true?

Our daughter is 2 now and when we read How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight we have fun actions on every page that we do, and now she will do them unprompted herself while flipping through the book.

Voters clearly don't care about policy or even character anymore. It's that simple. Trump literally ran on being a dictator and still won. What smell test does that pass?

Newsflash: Dems avoided running on dismantling these agencies like the plague and still got obliterated in the elections.

Dems need to stop running off of focus groups/polls and start running on convictions.

Not that I would have had the presence of mind to think of this in the moment, but the best response to his "do they have a soul" questions would have been:

"To quote our president: There are very fine people on both sides."

Everyone is of course entitled to enjoy or not enjoy whatever they want.

But I don't think all of his films are necessarily trying to be profound. Just quirky.

Which is, apparently, what I love. In the same way that some people like watching reality TV. I simply enjoy WA films uncritically.

It's sort of more bleak an ending, karmic-ly, because Tim is escaping any consequences for his actions, which is also likely what will happen when they get home. He had a brief scare, but the danger is passed, and he can keep enjoying life.
Like a scared drop of water returning to the safe sea.

So when he thinks he might have accidentally killed Lochlan anyway, when that is the one person he was not planning to kill, that is the climactic moment for his arc.

But it's not redemption. It's relief. He may or may not go on to redeem himself. But he is undoubtedly changed.

And that's why he contrived a way (drinking alcoholic beverages) to kill his family that would exclude Lochlan, the one who doesn't need their wealth and luxuries to continue on.

Later, when Tim tells Lochlan to go enjoy his last day, he doesn't mean that it's his last day of life. Tim just asked if Lochlan could live without money. Lochlan says he can, and the relief on Tim's face was evident, because that meant he would NOT have to kill him.

Same with the Saxon after he says his whole life is tied to Tim's success and that he has nothing without it. Tim then begins to imagine killing the 3 of them.
When Piper says she needs the luxuries of their life at dinner, horror comes over Tim's face as he realizes he "has" to kill Piper too.

This analysis SEEMS to miss some crucial plot points. In the preceding episodes, Victoria tells him she could not live a life of poverty. Only after that does he start to imagine killing her and then himself. I think in his mind it is an act of love.
