My favorite meteorological tool? Visible satellite. It's MIND-BLOWING to not only see the widespread extent of but also how MUCH snow has fallen across the Deep South. You can pick out rivers, creeks, and lakes which are NOT snow covered.

It's ANOTHER frigid morning in Central Texas with morning temperatures in the teens and 20s being joined by wind chills in the single digits and teens! It'll be a cold morning, but we're expecting crisp weather this afternoon with highs in the upper 40s and 50s.

Thursday is shaping up to be more UGLY than ICY. Temperatures may stay near and likely ABOVE freezing when precipitation falls tomorrow. We'll have opportunities for wintry precipitation, mainly west of I-35, but the majority seem to be staring down a COLD RAIN!
