This afternoon, the Trump administration officially shut down the LGBTQ Youth Specialized Services program within the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The program allowed callers under 25 to speak with counselors trained to support LGBTQ youth, an option that has now been eliminated.

You know what I did not see coming? MAGA obsession with George Soros funding of all the evil turning to nominating Scott Bessett (Soros’ hedge fund manager) as Treasury Secretary. Self respect much?

Thinking about mushrooms, and how they seem to pop up one day and disappear the next, but really they are just the visible evidence of a network already organized. Unfortunately this metaphor currently works for hope and despair.

If you thought that Trump is “the”problem, who is going to come get their people on this board and prevent them?
The ones not in favor need support and people organizing with them.

Is there some sort of hope on this app that we can take the fight to fascists while maintaining our own humanity? I like TikTok and it’s cranked out manic format. But maybe something else would be nice. We will probably fuck this one up too.

Just watched Adélaïde Ferrière perform some classical repertoire on marimba. Absolutely moving!

Around 200 people could hardly contain their energy just watching.

Making music is so integral to being alive. It isn’t a distraction from reality. It resides someplace other and within our bodies. And to be honest and vulnerable when making it(others can tell), is to create a portal of understand for our world and being together that might save it.
