Just had a fantastic presentation from @bcpolicy.bsky.social about BC's economy and the fact that we have a revenue problem rather than a spending one. Spending compared to inflation and GDP is relatively flat across the last 25 years while revenue has dropped by nearly 5%. Was v. fascinating!

SD57 students compete in Battle of the Books 87 students from across the district took part, with Books and Co. gift certificates going to the winners

The event saw 29 teams of three students from 15 schools across the district answer questions from 12 nominated Red Cedar Books, testing their reading comprehension and memory.

I love Ctrl+F. Been using it with students for years now.

Actual day 1 of #olasc25 (yesterday was day 0). Started the morning with CyberLegends, KnowledgeFlow and ICTC talking about free, Canadian Cyber Security education developed by educators for educators. Now on to the annual Best Bets, one of my favorites. Time to learn about amazing books.
