you know! that CD from 10-15 years ago? I bought the whole catalogue. And they were playing on KEXP the other day? And it's all women? and sort of girl-band sounding, but totally modern?

the thing i hate most about not having my own music server any more is when I can't remember the name of that band or any of their songs but really want to listen to the album I can't just scroll through the directory until I remember.

I've been generally happy with Sarah Feigenholtz's voting record and she's a co-sponsor of a number of bills this session that I support. But she's been there for 30 years and the older I get, the less I find that appealing in any political office.

Actually because I JUST STARTED making my wool coat this weekend, I'm giving higher odds to an early spring.

Two halves of a pączek (a custard or jelly filled deep-fried round of dough, dusted with powdered sugar) on a square plate. One half is filled with a bright red jam, the other is filled with a purple-colored custard.

When the bakery in the neighborhood is Filipino, you have your pączki between Fat Thursday and Fat Tuesday, and one of them is filled with ube. YUM! #Chicago
