It makes me ugly cry! 😭

The view of my winter garden bed from the hammock.
Thought I'd do chores on the first day of my 3 day weekend, but it may be one of the last of the nap in a hammock sunny days!

09.11.2025 07:56 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The categories used to be "Best Scary" and "Best Creative," for group, with one winner for each. We are so good at scary, we won that almost every time.
Yes, I'm still thinking about Halloween. Aaaannnd?
My Jackalope won 3rd place for Spooky Individual and our branch won 2nd place for Large Group submission.
This is what happens when your group goes so hard, the workplace had to rewrite the contest rules to allow others to win.
I'm a ridiculous person and I count pieces before buying. But that one has a LOT of pieces, and for $4 it's worth the gamble cause you can repurpose the tiles for a dollhouse or other craft.

It has a bad connotation, but is it inherently bad?
Like every song from Cortis sounds familiar, but also I love it!
My husband and I at Day of the Dead.

The car show is my favorite part!
The altars are always beautiful. We went early as folks were setting up. It gets so crowded later.
Day of the Dead in the Fruitvale. My first time in years not working the event. So nice to just be, and see everyone out.

Last one. Idk about this jacket. I feel like a bell hop. The sparkly dress underneath has shoulder pads. 🧐 This bag of Buy Nothing clothes was a journey. Like who are my neighbors?!?! Also, she left a dollar in change in the pocket!
02.11.2025 07:33 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0A twirly dress was found in the Buy Nothing bag.
What's the masculine equivalent of "I don't like this dress, oh but wait ... it twirls!?!?"
That's a lovely feeling I hope everyone can feel at some point in life. If it has pockets even better, sadly this one does not.
Styling clothes I got off of Buy Nothing. A chunky sweater with a collared shirt underneath.
Me dancing in PJs to test their comfiness.
Librarian fit AND Silk PJs?!?
What is this lady's life?!?
Who is this lady?!?! Idk how she originally styled this shirt. I actually think it's a maternity shirt, but I think I can rock it. 😁

I'm a big reuse person. A petite lady offered her clothes on my local Buy Nothing group ... I think she is actually the Vampire Lestat or a pirate.

One last Jackalope photo.
Everyone at work didn't know how I'd make the Jackalope scary.
I hope I succeeded!
I don't know what this is, but every time you two dress up, you guys look so happy. 😁
01.11.2025 05:41 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I don't know why anyone has an issue with teenagers trick or treating. They're giant kids!
It's the parents with the little little babies, I'm wondering about? WHO is eating THAT candy, sir?!? Your baby has no teeth!
My husband as a pirate and me as a jackalope.
The busy, busy evening. A ton of families came through.
The neighbor's dance party set up, and their child creepily handing out candy.
The little selfie station my neighbor's set up for the families. It is a witch over a cauldron.
Held down the fort passing out candy while our teenager roamed the street with friends.
Only like 5 people today knew what a jackalope was!!! Is this an obscure thing? Was it a 90's thing?
The grey looks good!

Happy Halloween folks!
Last year's costume and group theme won me my 6th and 7th award. "Best Scary" in the work contest.
It was so perfect that they altered the rules this year and we can't compete for Scary.
But I still think we're contenders. Pics later today.
I blow off steam after work sometimes by wandering the thrift.
Took home Spaceteam, left everything else.
But also, it must not have been too bad of a work day, I got to play Word on the Street as an ice breaker. 🥳
Ok. Do you say "streeeetch," if you stretch at your desk?
Or is that just me, who did storytime for a decade plus and can't break old habits?
How can you not make a noise when you stretch?!?!
I knoooooow! I have two at home. But this one I'm gifting to our Teen Zone.
They like quick playing games that have high engagement and dramatic choices. I'll teach the staff sometime this week. Because it doesn't *look* appealing, but it is.
The game description states that the chicken goes in a circle clucking, and you have to press a button at the right time to get her to lay an egg.
The description of Lay An Egg is wild. Are we just poking a chicken as a family activity?!?!
