We are tired in a way sleep cannot fix. We are divided in a way maps cannot explain. Still, the country breathes (albeit unevenly). The world watches in horror.

Called 12 different imaging places (including hospitals) who all had 1 of 2 answers: 1) did not take my insurance or 2) took my insurance but will not perform MRI due to bone stimulator placed in my back from a previous surgery.

Went to pain management, was told exact same thing primary told me.

Adventures in American healthcare with chronic illness:

Saw my PCP for bloodwork. Got abnormal results. Sent to Rheumatologist. Got more bloodwork ordered. Went back to PCP due to pain. MRI ordered and referred to go back to pain management.

I want out of this country.

I love that a white guy was flying the plane, a white guy was flying the helicopter, and a white guy gutted the FAA last week but somehow the blame is too much diversity.

Please go outside and look at the moon and Venus. The cosmos (near and far) have a way of washing calmness over me. Hoping it can do the same for you if you’re having a rough time.

Mars, Jupiter and Venus look pretty stunning tonight. In the midst of this hateful rhetoric going on right now in this country, I have to look upwards to the starry night and admire our existence in this universe. Such a tiny part of the universe..
