I watch groups of 20-somethings roll into bars not to watch games so much as to make the gambling a public event and they almost never end up happy. I feel like I have a decent beat on things but I’m often surprised at how pervasive gambling problems have become and in particular how QUICKLY.

Oddly enough the WHOLE REASON I am pro-socialist policies directly a result of being brought up on Military bases where my parents’ rent was paid, groceries and clothing was price controlled, and everyone’s dad was pretty much in the same economic class (comfortable!)

I grew up a military brat on bases until I was 16 and let me tell you, if you want to radicalize the military and their families into a bunch of foaming-at-the-mouth socialist you do it by getting rid of the commissaries.

Being in a gifted program only served to delay the diagnosis of a learning disability by about 30 years and made me feel insane for constantly being a disappointment! It’s super healthy and we should shove every kid into a machine of toxic self-importance because they get bored sometimes!
