Made the jump at the end of 24 to AoS. Joined up with buds on a local team in DC and did 6 RTTs, 2 GTs, and the Nova Open with Idoneth snd loved it.
Currently working on Stormcast as my new army off a 2-1 RTT this weekend.

Still tedious but build up faster than other yellows Ive used!

By comparison the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets first accepted women in 1973 even before West Point and Annapolis. As an example of how the vibes and spirit are just different even if they are both Senior Military Colleges.
Like VMI took a court case about accepting women all the way to the Supreme Court in 1995!
They lost, and even setup a womens only program at a nearby college to try getting out of changing their admissions policy.
While i think its better than it was +20yrs ago. The vibes from interacting now 10yrs ago were that they absolutely were on a different level than VT about that it. Helps that VT was founded post civil war too i think.
But VMI & Citadel are very much extra(not a compliment) vs the other SMCs
As someone who graduated from the VTCC(same type but very different vibes than VMI) it was chasing a commission through ROTC after being denied at USNA. After a 1.5yrs when i realized I didnt want that, the option was transferring schools vs staying with friends and what i knew so stuck it out.

That while far from perfect doesnt have near the same level of baggage and Lost Cause-yness.
