Let’s say, extremely hypothetical, one was interested in purchasing The Onion, either by raising financing via private equity or turning it into a 501c. Hypothetically. You have any insight on what Spanfeller is trying to offload it for? Any thoughts on how to check out that situation without being noisy about it? I am based in Chicago, original home of The Onion, and I have some ideas on how to get capital using a hometown hero hook—as a start. But I want to dig in a little deeper and get insight.
