On the other hand, Canada goldenrod is an important native species here, but seriously invasive in other continents.

A tiny oak sapling about a foot tall, in autumn

This baby Chinquapin oak sapling grew by our garden gate, likely from an acorn buried by a squirrel. Since an oak tree blocking a gate isn’t great we moved it 6 weeks ago. So far it’s done very well. We won’t live to see it get more than 10-15 feet tall but hope it survives 🤞

Frozen bananas are easy to peel, just leave ‘em on the counter for 5 minutes first, then perl. They leak liquid though. And may I suggest banana chocolate chip muffins? 😋
