yeah i had a fantastic time with this one last year, getting to see how it unfolds as those two sides interact is delightful

the parts that are really biologist/ghost bird centric. i think what area x does to the biologist (and ghost bird coming to terms with it) is more compelling than the section where blackbird was doing things to the main cast, which i think has a lot of really big issues for me

i think I'd agree with this but with the caveat that there are parts of Acceptance (imo a very mixed book) that blow their Exordia equivalents out of the water

I don't think the experience of playing a solo ttrpg is all that alien to most people, because it's really the writing it down part that people struggle to start. I'd go as far as to say most people's sole interactions with a lot of ttrpg books is to play them solo, in their head, to some degree
