Building an incomplete network is like building a cafe in the middle of a farmer’s field. If we want people to be able to get around the city how they please, we need to build a complete, connected, and safe network.

Weird dead ends like this say, “We know we should… but we just don’t care.”

Every kid should be able to walk to school safely. Roads need to work for everyone — drivers, walkers, cyclists, and people with mobility aids. Slower intersections, raised crosswalks, and smart traffic calming can make a real difference. What would make your streets safer?

This evening, we rode with @criticalmassyyc.bsky.social in memory of the man who was killed last week at 26th Avenue and 32nd Street SW. Everyone deserves to be able to travel safely around our city - no matter how they choose to get around.

Cars work well for many — but not everyone can drive, or afford to.
Kids, newcomers, seniors, people with disabilities rely on transit every day. When it’s unreliable or unsafe, it cuts people off from work, school, and community. We need a system that works for everyone.

Yesterday’s traffic is a perfect example of why we need redundancy and options in our transport networks. When construction and weather interrupt our plans, we need choices.

Calgary Transit had 101M+ riders in 2024 — a record year. But behind every number is someone getting to class, work, or home.

That’s why I’m running: to fight for better routes, safer stops & reliable service. Let’s build a city that moves everyone forward.

Everyone should feel safe and at ease walking through their city. Wider sidewalks, better lighting, safer school routes, and public spaces aren’t luxuries — they’re essentials. Let’s build a Calgary where quality of life is part of the plan. Let’s get it done.

These seem like very reasonable things to do, and will make getting around Calgary on public transit better by improving safety, increasing frequency of service, and building a connected
