Just recently I read @ada-hoffmann.bsky.social's The Outside and man, that book gave me chills for how good it was. I ripped through and am salivating for getting the next book from the library.

Of course it's appropriate. And then the famous author says "I'd love to sign your book, but I didn't bring a pen. Do you have a pen?" and then follows you through your house as you fannishly search for the book and a good pen and that's how he stumbles onto the crucial evidence...

Also "Union & University" is a pun, because in addition to having the obvious meanings they are also the names of two actual streets that cross in a prominent place on campus!

Oh no, I hope it's cleared up soon, bug or otherwise!

I was very peripherally involved with these events (I cancelled my classes in support, I went to like 1 rally) but the real protagonists of this story are the graduate workers and the people who supported them directly on the picket line, day in and day out.

I took it back out as the book evolved; there were a bunch of other songs that better captured the vibe of that part of the story. But the theme of impending psychological implosion is still, uh, relevant.

This is a key point for neurodiversity as well: regardless of the policies that states and health services adopt, more people are going to learn about autism, ADHD etc online, or dip their toes into communities, and realise they offer explanations for their lifelong differences and difficulties.
