The political situation in the US is intense and attention grabbing, but it doesn’t change the fact that literally larger (global!) forces are changing things in potentially catastrophic ways. Island nations are already hemorrhaging population, for instance. And the gulf stream may be quitting.

I’m not recovering from the Shockwave therapy as fast as I’d hoped. My planned Colorado Trail thruhike is looking more like a week or two section, if I’m lucky.

It’s not that traumatic. I slipped on a rock on the AZT last year, and hurt a tendon in my foot. I thought it healed up, eventually, but this spring I went on a 300 mile AT section and the pain flared up - after which it hurt for every step. I came home and am trying Shockwave therapy on it.
