On Trump’s interview with GB News, where he confirmed he still intends to sue the BBC and will be speaking to the PM shortly, Lib Dem leader Ed Davey:

β€œThis is Keir Starmer’s moment to stand up for Britain, for every TV licence fee payer... & for a free press that can hold the powerful to account."

Nostalgia is remembering the endless summer of 1976 but completely forgetting travelling in cars with vinyl seats and no air conditioning.

In the global electrification race China is marching ahead.

The US and Europe risk falling behind clinging on to yesterday's technologies.

One ~182km x ~211km solar thermal plant could provide all of America’s electricity, including a fully-electrified land transport sector.

100% clean power from just 0.39% of U.S land.

That’s why renewables are constantly under attack from the fossil fuel industry and their paid mouthpieces.

Ah yes, collapsing the economy, your one area of expertise. Do tell us about the time you knocked Β£30bn off the stock market and trebled everyone's mortgage.

I'm sure Starmer will have something to say about Trump threatening legal action against the BBC, as PM it can't be a knee jerk response. I'd really like to hear Farage challenged about this, let's not allow him to yet again escape scrutiny by moaning about the speed of Starmer's response.

It's safe to be green in May because they can do no real damage. They don't have to make the tough decisions. Very different in General election. People use their heads more. Starmer will do full term

January 6 panel accuses Trump of β€˜multi-part conspiracy’ in final report House committee publishes report three days after recommending criminal charges against ex-president

Has the BBC given the world the wrong impression?
The US Congress investigations concluded:
β€œThe central cause of January 6th was one man, former President Donald Trump."
β€œNone of the events of January 6th would have happened without him.”
The defense rests.

NPR reported this morning that, based on their review of the #Epstein emails released yesterday, Trump’s name appeared more than 1,000 times in the documentβ€”

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't β€” and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

Love this!

Our government are, for the first time in 15 years, human.

They are like you and me.

They know how to talk to everyday people, including children.

And it's for all of us they are working to improve the country.
