A postdoctoral position is available to work in the lab of Dr. Nick Gilpin at LSU Health in New Orleans. The successful applicant will work at the neurobiological intersection of alcohol use disorder, pain and traumatic stress. The project will support integration of behavioral pharmacology, circuit-based approaches, slice electrophysiology, molecular biology, and cell sequencing/bioinformatics. I struggle to understand how papers can sit in review for many months at journals that give you 2 weeks to submit a review and start sending emails a week before the deadline that they will cut off your thumbs if your evaluation is one second late
